The Sanctuary

The Holy Table in the sanctuary is the place where we regularly remember, by using bread and wine, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. It is God’s demonstration of his love for us.

Notice the two fine Jacobean chairs at either side of the Communion Table. The blocked doorway in the east wall led to a vestry, removed in the 19th century. The Communion Table was dedicated in 1922.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.” John 3 v16

Lord thank you for your great love for me. I don’t deserve it and I can never earn it, but Jesus died so that I can be forgiven and can know your love
